The DjVu file format is an alternative to Adobe PDF files and provides a small filesize in general. In order to view DjVu files, you're likely going to have to find a viewer which can open them and that's exactly what WinDjVu is.

Unlike modern PDF files, DjVu files are generally smaller in size though lower in image quality. The WinDjVu application can be compared to many PDF viewers: It has a dual-pane interface, scrolls from page-to-page and supports bookmarks and document search. The side panel includes thumbnails of pages contained within the DjVu document. With the help of the menu bar, navigating documents is simple.

Overall, WinDjVu opens and displays DjVu documents quickly and provides a nice alternative to the monopolistic PDF file format.
